Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player secured his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid year, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in particular - caused him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set win over challenger Moutet.
It is the player's initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has achieved 21 championships at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is particularly special," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, including in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching play style and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the elite level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial tour championship, took control to create a decider.
He rescued four initial opportunities in a close third set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner earned victory with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
